To begin, over the last 15 years I have personally worked tirelessly to accumulate a diverse team of partners that specialize in all aspects of venture creation and innovation development. Advanz presently concentrates on creating value by providing business development, commercialization, and venture investment technical service for main street and technology startup companies. Our team specializes in creating meaningful relationships with investors, researchers, engineers, and foundations with the goal of developing sustainable programs that impact entrepreneurs, their organizations, and their communities specializing in both rural and urban settings. Our team is personally and professionally on a mission to be a transformational role player in all of my clients lives and ventures!

AdVanz represents a dense collaborative of entrepreneurial assets aggregated to catapult our clients personal and professional success. We use innovation and entrepreneurial training and technical service to build local, regional, or statewide clusters or cultures that fuel community development and job creation. We provide vast resources that can enhance program and project development from A-Z, ideation through to measurable outcome.

Since 2006 AdVanz has been trying to understand how to transform communities leveraging the power of technology, innovation, mentoring, and education 3.0. To date we have transformed over 100 hundred entrepreneur’s lives, multiple schools, several incubators, and a couple venture or angel investment shops. The proof is in the pudding.

Carmen Scott Dawson is a serial social entrepreneur that specializes in creating information communication technology based education, community, and entrepreneurial development solutions. In 2014 was named "Business Advocate Winner of the Year" for the Philadelphia Business Journal prestigious Minority Executive Leaders Awards Program. He has 4 National Awards in “Business Creativity in Entrepreneur Education” from Consortium for Entrepreneur Education. Carmen has received Congressional and Senatorial Letters of Recognition as well as federal, state, and locate endorsements and proclamations from numerous government officials. In 2010 Carmen was the Keynote Speaker for the White House Urban Entrepreneur Forum at the Fox School of Business. Carmen has been the State Director for the National Entrepreneur Week since 2007 and was the first State Director for Global Entrepreneurship Week in 2008.

Under Carmen’s leadership Adreamz Institute has hosted, partnered, and sponsored over 100 Entrepreneurial and Community Development events and has supported 100 plus entrepreneurs and organizational leaders. Since 2005 Carmen has been working on UnleashErie Development Strategy that has lead to the formation of a network of collaborative entities, which leverage Cisco Equipment across Center City Erie to reduce the trends of poverty and disparity. Carmen and partners have installed Cisco TelePresense and Cisco Networking technology equipment at the Booker T Washington Community Center, Erie Rise Leadership Academy Charter School, a Cisco Entrepreneur Institute at Adreamz Institute, and the Parade Street Commons training center a building of 36 Units of housing with over 100 students. `Since 2011 Carmen’s clients have raised over $10 million and created over 30 full or part time living wage jobs.

He currently serves as a Founding Board member of Erie Rise Leadership Academy. Carmen paired with Greg Myers and respective board members to make an innovative K-8 Charter School that was focused around Leadership. Advanz managed raising the startup capital, facility selection, Cisco technology infrastructure implementation - wireless, LAN, WAN, paper based and digital curricula procurement, food certifications and operations, teacher recruitment and selection as a in kind contribution.

Carmen is also a board member of the Parade Street Commons, Founder of the Pennsylvania Entrepreneurship Leadership Team (PELT100), and Board of Directors of the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education. He is the Founder and CEO of the Adreamz Institute and Training Center, which is currently the largest virtual accelerator in the Commonwealth with physical co working and incubation spaces in both Eastern and Western PA. He is currently earning a graduate degree in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship from nationally ranked Fox School of Business, Temple University. Carmen is committed to making an impact across main street, the startup world and is setting on moving in the direction of providing business intermediary and brokerage services to help communities attract, retain, and grow using cutting edge technology, love and care!
